Orthodontics
Orthodontics is a specialty that deals with the treatment of perplexity in the teeth and the disorders related to the proper closing of the jaw (malocclusion). Orthodontic specialists can direct the growth of the jaw with removable appliances or fixed treatment methods (in pediatric patients), eliminate the negative effects of harmful habits (e.g., pacifier use, thumb sucking, etc.) on the jaws. As the wires and holders used are tooth-colored, the problems in terms of aesthetics have also disappeared. Orthodontic treatment can be applied at any age, and it is now possible to get rid of the appearance of the wire and correct the crooked teeth with clear aligners (ClearAligner), which are not visible from the outside, with the lingual orthodontic treatment technique, in which the wires used in orthodontic treatment are placed on the tongue side of the teeth and are invisible from the outside. Colored wires and aesthetic wires have recently been the preferred techniques for pediatric patients who are not satisfied with the appearance of the wire.
