FAQ
Hair and Beard Transplantation
It falls off in the form of an incision 3 to 4 weeks after the operation. This phenomenon is called shock shedding. In fact, as the hair falls, these follicles remain under the skin and begin to produce hair. They start to grow hair after an average of 3 months. They don't all grow at the same time. The intensity of the growth increases for an average of 5 months, and continues until the 8th month. Asymmetry of growth in different regions can be seen. Therefore, it would not be correct to evaluate the final result in this period. An average of 8 months should be waited for the proper evaluation of the outcome. Between the 8th month and a year, softening of the scar, redistribution of the hair strands due to this softening and also the thickening of the hair are observed. There is a noticeable difference in terms of naturalness between the 8th month and the first year. An average of one year can be expected for the hair to take its natural appearance.
Beard transplantation has come to the fore in recent years to remedy the weak or nonexistent beard and mustache of men. The grafts planted in the beards are taken from the nape of the person and the transplantation is performed according to the orientation of the beard. Beard transplantation is a more difficult operation than hair transplantation because the channel must be opened according to the direction of growth of the beard. Beard and mustache transplantation can also be performed on people who have little or no beard. Beard transplantation is done with local anesthesia. The operation time takes about three to five hours.
