The maintenance of laminate veneers is usually very simple but important. As with natural teeth, they must be kept clean to preserve their pristine appearance for as long as possible. They are made of a material not affected by caries but they are attached to a sensitive part of the tooth. For this reason, good oral hygiene is recommended by brushing teeth three times a day and flossing once a day. A non-abrasive toothpaste is recommended to ensure that the cleaning does not degrade the surface of the veneers.
We need six days to complete most of our treatments. During this time, you will need to visit the clinic about four times. But when it comes to implants, you will need to visit us twice, with an interval of 3 to 5 months between each visit.
In the dental bridge treatment, the intact teeth located right next to the empty teeth (to the right and left) are rasped and reduced to serve as fixation. Then, the dentist takes the patient's mouth and jaw measurements and ensures that the most suitable prosthesis for the patient. Dental bridge prosthesis is prepared according to the patient's tooth structure and color.
A dental crown is a cover or cap that can be placed over the tooth. It restores a damaged or missing tooth to its normal shape, size and function. A dental crown can protect the tooth or improve its appearance.
The lifespan of dental crowns depends on how they are treated and cared for. With proper use, its lifespan can be about 15 years. A good dental hygiene routine and regular checkups are recommended. Remember that since your natural tooth has a crown, it is still susceptible to gum diseases, so be sure to take good care of your entire mouth.
Veneers and crowns are dental restoration methods that can improve the appearance and function of your teeth. The main difference is that veneers only cover the front of your tooth and crowns cover the entire tooth. A veneer is a very thin layer of porcelain or other materials, about 1 mm thick, that adheres to the front of your existing tooth. A dental crown is about 2 mm thick and covers the entire tooth.
Implants are undoubtedly the best material to replace a natural tooth in case of a missing tooth. Implants can be preferred for a single missing tooth, a few missing teeth, or the loss of all teeth (complete edentulism).
Protection of teeth adjacent to dental cavities without cutting.
Prevention of jaw bone loss in the dental cavity.
Oral hygiene applications are easier than bridge prostheses.
It provides the opportunity to make porcelain teeth one by one, as in the natural tooth series.
To increase the retention of entire dentures, especially in the lower jaw.
By providing a natural appearance and aesthetics, the self-confidence of the person increases.
In the area planned for the implant procedure, the jawbone must have sufficient height and width to surround the implant. If there is not enough bone, preparatory interventions can be done to prepare the relevant area. The quality of the existing bone is another factor affecting the success of the implant. It will be sufficient for the bone to have completed its development for the application. There is no upper age limit. Implants can be applied to anyone with good general health.
You will need to make two visits to complete your treatment. You must stay four days for the first visit and six days for the second visit. At the first appointment, your surgeon places the screw of the implant in the jawbone and then covers the implant with gum tissue to allow the implant to heal properly. Depending on the patient's bone condition, healing time can vary between 3-6 months. During this period, a temporary prosthesis can be used. After the end of the retention (adhesion) period, the permanent prosthesis can be applied.
The lifespan of dental implants depends on how they are treated and cared for. Hygiene implant applications are essential. Since it plays a significant role in the success of the implant, the person who will have the implant should pay attention to oral care.
