Stereotactic Surgery

Stereotactic surgery is a minimally invasive neurosurgery method that allows reaching deep-seated areas, functional structures, small lesions, without damaging the brain tissue surrounding the target point without a large craniotomy, with a margin of error below a millimeter. Stereotactic techniques are generally used for the following types of cases. 

* Biopsy with local anesthesia for the diagnosis of brain lesions that cannot be diagnosed with MRI 

* Movement disorders (Parkinson’s, tremor, dystonia) surgery 

* Surgery for psychiatric disorders 

* Pain interventional treatment 

* Epilepsy surgery 

* Minimally invasive tumor surgery
