Spondylolisthesis
Spondylolisthesis is a forward sliding of a vertebral body (usually L4 or L5) over the underlying vertebra. The cause of the slippage is joint (congenital or degenerative) insufficiency or lamina fracture. It is usually asymptomatic. However, narrowing of the spinal canal may cause root compression symptoms and signs in cases of advanced listesis.
